  <p>The application as filed constitutes the disclosure against which compliance of an amendment with Article 100(c) EPC or Article 123(2) EPC is to be assessed and may also provide context for the interpretation of the claims. It may not, however, be relied upon to neutralise or disregard an express feature introduced by amendment of a claim which conveys technically sound information to the skilled person. Construing the claim, by reference to the application as filed, as if that feature were absent or devoid of any limiting effect would render ineffective the assessment required under Article 100(c) EPC or Article 123(2) EPC.
