2. Public Judicial Records

Court case numbers, party names, representing law firms, and judicial decisions displayed on this site are sourced from publicly available publications of the Unified Patent Court, the European Patent Office and national courts pursuant to legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for legal reporting and judicial transparency.

3. Newsletter & Subscriber Data

Email addresses collected for the Monday UPC Briefing, case alerts or sign-in are processed via Resend (email delivery) and Supabase (database and sign-in). Newsletter and case-alert signups are confirmed by a link we email you before anything is sent. You may unsubscribe anytime with one click via the unsubscribe link in our emails.

4. Accounts, Alerts & Payments

You sign in with a link sent to your email address; no password is stored. To stop the sign-in form being used to flood someone's inbox, we keep a short record of each sign-in link we send: the email address and a shortened one-way hash of the requesting IP address, deleted after about a day. When you ask for a link from a case page, your browser also remembers that page for up to an hour, so the link can bring you back to it; this is stored in your browser only, not on our servers. Watchlists and alert preferences are stored against your account. Payments are handled by Whop; we receive your email address, plan and status, and any reference you enter at checkout.

5. Analytics & Cookies

Our server keeps a simple log of page requests: the page path, the referring website, the country, and whether the request looks like an automated bot. It does not store IP addresses or browser identifiers and uses no cookies. The same log records whether a visitor opened the sign-in form on a case page or the plan request form on the pricing page, with the page path and country only.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits, but only if you accept in the banner shown on your first visit. It sets cookies. If you decline, nothing is loaded. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.

6. Service Providers

Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Whop (payments), and Google (analytics, only with your consent).

7. Your Rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to privacy@upcintel.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
